Compliance & Test Reports

The test reports on file for the material we buy, what each one tested, and how to ask for the copy that is current.

01 — What the reports cover

Which material was tested, under which scheme, and with what result.

Four reports are on file: stainless steel 304 and the polypropylene cap, each under the FDA rules and under the LFGB rules. A material or a test with no report behind it is not listed.

The four reports on file, by material, scheme, what each one covers and the result it prints
Material Scheme What the report covers Result
Stainless steel 304 LFGB Sensorial examination of odour and taste, and extractable heavy metals, under LFGB section 30 & 31. Pass — both items.
Stainless steel 304 FDA Extractable lead, and the chromium content of the steel. Pass — both items.
Polypropylene (PP), the cap FDA Density, melting point, and the extractable fraction in n-hexane and in dimethylbenzene, under FDA 21 CFR 177.1520. Pass — each result sits inside the limit printed beside it.
Polypropylene (PP), the cap LFGB Overall migration, migration of heavy metals, primary aromatic amines, PAHs, total chromium, hafnium, vanadium and zirconium, and total lead and cadmium. Pass — all items.

A report covers the material named on it and the sample that was submitted to the laboratory; it is not a certificate for every product. The current valid copy of any report is available on request.

How to read a result

  • N.D. means the substance was not detected, below the detection limit the report prints beside it
  • A less-than value means the result sits below the number written after the sign
  • Each result is read against the limit in its own row of the report, never against a limit chosen here

02 — The documents

Four reports, each one a PDF.

Report number, issue date, laboratory, material, sample and the items tested, as each report prints them. Every row opens the PDF itself, in a new tab.

03 — The copy that is current

Ask for the report that is valid today.

The PDFs above are the copies on file. When you need the current valid copy for a market or a customer requirement, ask and we send it for the material you are buying against.

What to send us

  • The product and the material — which grade of stainless steel, or which polymer
  • The report you are asking for — FDA or LFGB, and what it has to state
  • The market or the customer requirement it is answering
  • Whether your part differs from the sample tested — a different material, coating or structure is checked against the report first, and the laboratory, not us, issues any amendment
  • The enquiry or order it belongs to, so it is filed with the right one
